How do you make sure that you get the property and how do you secure your place in line?
So I know a lot of people do it differently. The one thing that I would tell you is that when you are applying for a rental property, make sure that you have a completed packet of information. So I would make sure if you’re renting the property on the MLS, for example, when we have properties for lease, we disclose exactly what we need in our qualifications. Make sure that when you present your information to the owner, the landlord, the property management company, that you have all of your information ready, and all of your, whether it’s W-2s or paycheck stubs or references, make sure that you give whoever is doing the screening a proper completed packet. Because when you don’t have something, really the process does not start until they get a completed packet. So you wanna make sure you have everything before, and just kind of gather all of your stuff, gather your references, gather your prior landlord’s numbers, so when you do submit an application, you can very easily just them send them everything via scan, and you don’t have to delay anything.
So I know a lot of tenants ask us how do they get in the property quicker, how do they get approved quicker, and the answer is the way you get approved quicker is by having a complete packet of information, having everything that’s needed. Make sure you read what the qualifications are. Have those ready and prepared. In that way, you’ll be sure to get the information back as to whether or not you’re accepted based on the qualifications once you have a completed packet turned in. Hope this helps.
